Dress

In dressing for the meeting and its associated events, please note that the idea is to be comfortable. During April in Birmingham, temperatures fluctuate between cool and warm. We suggest you bring a light jacket. Below is a guide on typical attire.

Sunday

The Executive Board Meeting is casual – jeans, khakis and polo shirts – as most of the Board arrives just in time for the meeting.

The Welcome Reception and the ABD Hospitality Rooms are also casual dress events as most people have only arrived and checked in.

Monday

The conference is business casual. For men that ranges from sport coats and dress pants to khakis and polo shirts. For women that ranges from dress pants or skirts and jackets, to khakis and polo shirts.

For the spouse tour, wear comfortable walking shoes and casual clothes.

The ABD Event will be a business casual affair. The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is large, so wear comfortable shoes so you will want to walk through all of the exhibits.

Tuesday

See Monday for dressing for the conference.

For the spouse tour, see Monday.

The Annual Banquet is a coat and tie event for the men. For the women, there is a broader range. Some wear business suits, some prefer to wear cocktail attire. Wear whatever suits you.

Wednesday

As most people will be traveling this day, it is not unusual to see people in jeans and tennis shoes.
